Why large lenticular screens can be spliced

Optical screen materials have manufacturing-width limits. At very large sizes, manufacturers may join material sections to reach the required height or width. The seam can be fine and may not be distracting at normal viewing distance, but visibility depends on lighting, content, tension and individual sensitivity.

Questions to ask before buying

• Is the 150-inch surface one piece, spliced, welded or otherwise joined?
• Where is the seam located?
